London on 24 April 2024.
Runaway Household Cavalry horses, riderless, bloodied, loose through central London.
Five military horses bolted near Buckingham Palace when building works spooked them, careering six miles through rush-hour traffic, crashing into vehicles, leaving the white horse and the black horse both soaked in blood on camera. They are the King’s own cavalry, the ceremonial guard of the Crown, photographed in the heart of the City riderless and wounded.
